Deepening Cooperation and Exchange for the Benefit of Filipino and Chinese — Philippine Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association Visits St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou

On September 26, the Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association delegation, composed of President Chen Bingqing, Vice Presidents Shi Qinghui and Shi Yurong, Honorary Presidents Wang Shuhou, Lin Jinshan, other vice presidents, and executive directors, visited the St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou. Lin Zhicheng, President of St. Stamford International Medical Group, Lin Daoxuan, Vice President and Medical Director, Jin Nongyi, Administrative Director, He Langbing, Director of the International Affairs Department, and Yang Jinna, Office Director attended the event. The purpose of this visit and exchange activity is to deepen friendship between the both and further promote cooperation in the medical field between China and the Philippines, collectively advancing the integration and progress of oncology services in countries along the "Belt and Road" initiative.

At the welcoming ceremony, Mr. Lin Zhicheng, President of St. Stamford International Medical Group, warmly welcomed the delegation of Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association. He stated that the friendly cooperative relationship between Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association and St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou has lasted for over ten years. As a friendly partner of the hospital, he’s very grateful to the Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association for its full support to the hospital and for making important contributions to cancer treatment and development in the Philippines.

In August 2023, the Belt and Road Holistic and Integrative Oncology Training Base of Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CACA) settled in St. Stamford Modern Hospital Guangzhou. The hospital has a strong advantage in holistic and integrative oncology treatment, and pays attention to the research of cutting-edge tumor technology, especially cell therapy technology, hoping to eliminate tumors at the source in the future. President Lin Zhicheng expressed the hope that the two sides will bring cutting-edge tumor technology and treatment concepts to the Philippines and more countries on the platform of the "Belt and Road" to help more cancer patients.

President Chen Bingqing of the Filipino-Chinese Shin Lian Association expressed gratitude for the warm reception by St. Stamford Modern Hospital Guangzhou and acknowledged the hospital’s achievements in management, medical technology, scientific research, and specialty development. He noted that the years of cooperation have effectively brought cancer prevention and treatment knowledge to the public and provided warmth and hope to many patients in need. He hopes to deepen communication based on past successful collaboration, promoting global sharing of medical resources on the “Belt and Road” platform so that advanced oncology technologies can benefit more cancer patients worldwide.

In addition, the visiting trip included a tour of the hospital environment, an introduction to the hospital's teleconferencing center, and its smart medical system. The delegates expressed that the hospital is continuously improving its medical equipment, technology, and services, as well as providing dedicated and humane care that meets various patient needs, greatly facilitating patient access to medical services and fulfilling the responsibilities of an international hospital. The Association will work closely with the hospital to promote the dissemination of integrated oncology medical technology in the Philippines.

This visit and exchange witnessed the friendship between the both and further deepened medical exchange and cooperation between China and the Philippines. In the future, both parties will use the “Belt and Road” training base as a foundation, promoting the advancement of world-leading cancer treatment technologies and concepts through collaboration, communication, and information sharing, striving to benefit more cancer patients in more countries and regions.
