With the development of our country's foreign exchange, Guangzhou, as one of the important international center cities, has seen an increasing number of foreigners entering our country. In order to provide foreigners with a more comprehensive and convenient service experience, better promote the implementation of the pilot program of expanding opening up in the medical field in our city, and provide an important practical carrier for the "Promoting Guangzhou Medical Tourism Development Plan" and "Introducing Foreign Investment Hospital Project", in November 2024, under the guidance of the Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau and the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, our country's first Treatment and Healthcare for Overseas Personnel Service Center was completed at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.
This is China's first overseas service center focusing on health care services. After its completion, it will be managed and operated by St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou under the guidance of relevant government departments to provide more comprehensive and convenient medical health consultation, medical information consultation, and other services to overseas personnel.
On the afternoon of November 28, 2024, the Guangzhou Treatment and Healthcare for Overseas Personnel Service Center officially held a launching ceremony. The leaders and guests attending the ceremony included: Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Consul General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Guangzhou, Mr. Chen Dinh Wu Hai, Deputy Consul General, Li Hui, Director of the Foreign Business Administration Office of the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Director Kong Miao of the Medical Administration Office of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, Li Yingbin, Deputy Director of the Guangzhou Tianhe District Health Bureau, Mr. Wang Wei, Party Secretary and Executive Director of the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Terminal 1 Management Branch, Mr. Liu Zhirong, Deputy General Manager, Mr. Lin Zhicheng, Chairman of St. Stamford International Medical Group, Mr. Lin Daoxuan, Vice President, and Mr. Lin Xinwei, Director and General Manager of Guangzhou Modern Hospital.

It’s reported that after the official launch of the Treatment and Healthcare for Overseas Personnel Service Center, free resting places, wheelchairs, health consultation, health science education, medical guidance and other services will be provided for foreigners entering the country, filling the gap in health services for foreigners entering the country, and further giving play to Guangzhou's comprehensive service functions for foreigners, providing more open, inclusive and diverse medical, cultural and tourism comprehensive services to many foreigners coming to Guangzhou, improving our city's ability to attract foreign investment in hospital projects, and injecting new impetus into our city's deepening of the construction of a medical service demonstration city, promoting high-level opening up to the outside world, and creating a world-class open city environment.
