The New Year's bell is about to ring, accompanied by the warm sunshine in winter. On the afternoon of December 27, 2024, the "Celebrate The Happy Occasion, Embrace The New Year" was specially planned and mainly performed by employees of St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou—The 2025 International Patient’s New Year Gala was successfully held.

Celebrate together in the New Year, blessings gather

The event venue was festively decorated, with colorful balloons and streamers intertwined and New Year's music softly playing in the background. In this moment, when the air was filled with the joy and warmth of the holiday season, our hospital's President, Mr. Wang Huaizhong, the Director of International Affairs, Mr. He Langbing, the Assistant Director of International Affairs, Ms. Liu Yansheng, and the Director of International Network Department, Mr. Qiu Chang, were present to celebrate with the patients.

President Wang extended holiday greetings to all the patients and their families present: "As the new year approaches, on behalf of all our medical staff, I would like to convey our best wishes to everyone. May the new year bring you renewed health and fill your lives with happiness and joy. We will continue to strive to provide the best medical care and support for all our patients."

Our colleagues in international service centers in various countries sent holiday greetings to all patients through video. For those who cannot go home for the holiday due to illness, this New Year blessing from the service staff in their country is particularly precious. It is not only a simple greeting, but also a kind of strength and support, inspiring patients to face the disease bravely, actively treat it, and look forward to every day in the future with hope.

Fun games and laughter

At the New Year celebration event, a series of fun games meticulously prepared by the staff became a source of joy for the patients. Traditional yet entertaining activities such as arrow tossing, ring tossing, and paper cutting not only attracted the enthusiastic participation of many patients but also allowed them to rediscover a sense of relaxation and happiness on this special day.

A Spectacular Feast for the Senses

The on-site performances were spectacular, akin to a sensory feast, spreading joy and blessings to everyone present. From traditional artistic acts to internationally flavored song performances, and even the humorous interactions of a clown, each segment of the event sparked rounds of applause and laughter from the audience.

The "Frog’s Swan Dance" performed by colleagues from the International Network Department ignited the atmosphere at the event. Their adorable and hilarious performance brought smiles to everyone's faces, lighting up the corners of their eyes with joy.

A little girl from Indonesia spontaneously joined the performance, captivating everyone with her lively and adorable dance moves.

The delicate and emotional melody of the Guzheng seems to take the audience through thousands of miles away and appreciate the charm of Chinese traditional culture.

Every time the Sichuan Opera face-changing actor turns around, he brings surprises. The audience was deeply attracted by this magical art, and warm applause and cheers burst out from time to time.

Our hospital's translators, hailing from diverse linguistic backgrounds, delivered heartfelt performances. They sang the Chinese song "Good Luck Comes," wishing everyone great fortune in the New Year. This was followed by "Harvest Season," symbolizing a bountiful year ahead. Finally, they performed "Good Time" in English, hoping everyone could enjoy wonderful moments. These songs not only conveyed heartfelt wishes to the patients but also showcased the harmonious blend of multiculturalism on this special occasion.

At the end of the event, everyone took to the stage to cut a cake symbolizing sweetness and happiness. Sharing the delicious treat and capturing the beautiful moment, they collectively brought the event to a perfect conclusion.

This New Year party carefully planned by our hospital staff is a vivid reflection of the hospital's value-added services and integrated medicine. It goes beyond the scope of conventional medical services and penetrates the spiritual world of patients. Through rich and colorful cultural and entertainment activities, it soothes the body and mind of patients during the treatment process, gives them spiritual support and encouragement, and helps them enhance their confidence in fighting the disease.

The hospital conveys an important message in such a warm and caring way: here, every patient is not only the subject of treatment but also a respected and cared for family member. Finally, I hope that all patients can regain their health and embrace the vitality of life in this blessed New Year.
