I learned a lesson from my experience with cancer: no matter how difficult the situation is, I shall shine and not give up. It is essential to embellish oneself carefully with maintaining beauty and composure, inner and outer beauty, and good fortune will naturally follow. Do not let emotions drag you down; be optimistic and cheerful, and express feelings frankly. Cancer does not mean death; it can be treated. I hope that, like me, you can shine brightly and blossom like a flower, living a peaceful and well-being life.

Initial Diagnosis and the Journey to Seek Treatment

In June 2016, I began feeling a tightening sensation in my right breast, but initially, I did not give it much attention. It wasn’t until one day while taking a shower that I suddenly noticed bleeding from my breast, which made me realize the seriousness of the situation. I immediately sought medical care at a local hospital in Indonesia, but the doctor only suggested monitoring the condition and did not provide a clear diagnosis. This left me feeling confused and anxious. Upon the recommendation of the local doctor, I contacted the Jakarta International Service Center of St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou. After having a remote consultation with an expert and learning about minimally invasive treatment techniques, I decided to travel to Guangzhou, China, to receive more advanced and minimally invasive treatment.

Efficient Diagnosis and Integrated Minimally Invasive Treatment

Upon arriving in Guangzhou in July 2016, the hospital thoughtfully arranged for airport pickup, which made me feel at ease and provided convenience. After admission, I received a warm welcome from the medical staff, and my tidy room was already prepared. On the fourth day after admission, all detailed examination results were released, confirming a diagnosis of Stage IIB breast cancer metastasized to the ducts.

Soon, the multidisciplinary team developed a comprehensive treatment plan for me, recommending a minimally invasive approach that combined breast-conserving surgery and interventional therapy. The breast-conserving surgery not only preserved my breast but also ensured the complete removal of the tumor, which was a pleasant surprise for me. After learning the detailed treatment plan, I immediately agreed to proceed.

Following the breast-conserving surgery, I underwent interventional therapy, which killed cancer cells through efficient targeting while avoiding the trauma and side effects of traditional surgery. The entire treatment process was both precise and swift, clearly demonstrating the benefits of minimally invasive treatment.

Successfully Beating Cancer and Care from Medical Staff

My physical condition is now good after meticulous treatment at the hospital. Not only did I undergo high-level procedures, but I also experienced the efficiency and noninvasive nature of interventional treatments, which reduced pain and recovery time. During my treatment, I enjoyed a relaxed living environment and was able to visit nearby shopping malls and the local market, which helped ease my mood. The medical team supported me with patience and professionalism throughout the entire process, and their warm care gave me great encouragement.

Just five months later, I received wonderful news—the test results indicated that the tumor had completely “disappeared”. In November 2016, I ended my treatment with immense joy. I felt incredibly happy and grateful for the professionalism and efforts of the MDT team at St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou, and it was thanks to minimally invasive treatment technology that I was able to defeat cancer without experiencing side effects.

After defeating cancer, I fell in love with traveling, enjoying life

Returning to St. Stamford: Cancer Has Never Recurred

On October 19, 2023, after seven years, I returned to St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou for a follow-up examination. Seeing familiar doctors and nurses filled me with excitement, and we embraced like old friends. I was deeply touched when the medical staff specially brought flowers to welcome me and sincerely wished me lasting health and beauty. What made me even happier was that the follow-up results showed no significant signs of tumor recurrence! This has been the outcome of my annual follow-ups since successfully overcoming cancer.

Anti-cancer Stars, Igniting the flame of Hope

On November 22, 2024, I was invited to participate in the "The Come-home Gala of Southeast Asian Anti-Cancer Stars in 2024." On November 21, the staff picked me up at the airport as usual. Despite the cool autumn weather, my heart felt warm. The hospital had also set up a "Treatment and Healthcare Service Center" at the airport to assist overseas individuals with inquiries related to cancer and other health issues, and I felt proud of the hospital!

On November 21, 2024, I arrived in Guangzhou with Anti-cancer stars from Thailand.

On November 22, with joy and gratitude, I attended the Come-home Gala of Southeast Asian Anti-Cancer Stars in 2024 with my family. During the sharing session, I opened my heart: “St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou is my warm second home. It helped me conquer illness, and the medical team treated me with kindness, skill, and sincerity.” Since 2016, every return has felt as warm as coming home, and each welcome has been deeply cherished. Listening to the inspiring stories of other anti-cancer stars, I was truly inspired and deeply moved. Today, as an anti-cancer star, I aim to set an example. I hope that one day in the future, you too will become an anti-cancer star, igniting the light of hope and continuing the story of hope.
