Thoughtful and Comprehensive Service: Ensuring Peace of Mind from Airport to Ward
My name is LEONISA, and I am from the Philippines. After experiencing a recurrence of breast cancer, I chose to seek treatment at St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou. This hospital has extensive experience in accommodating international patients. Before my arrival for treatment, the staff meticulously inquired about all my needs, including insurance details, dietary preferences, religious beliefs, and any special medical equipment requirements. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, which made me feel incredibly reassured.
Learn more about my anti-cancer story
I still remember arriving at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport late at night; however, the hospital’s pickup staff warmly greeted me and assisted with my luggage. A translator accompanied me throughout the process, ensuring smooth communication at every step, which allowed me to complete my admission procedures efficiently and without any issues. All of these arrangements provided me with a sense of warmth in this unfamiliar country. The medical staff at St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou offered not only professional medical services but also care and support akin to that of family.
Comfort in Solitude: Encouragement and Support from Medical Staffs
The treatment journey has undoubtedly been a challenging and arduous experience for me. Being in a foreign land without the company of my family often left me feeling lonely and helpless. Each time I observed other patients being lovingly cared for by their families, my sense of isolation became even more pronounced. Fortunately, during my most vulnerable moments, the medical staff became my steadfast support. They patiently listened to all my questions and concerns, using their professional knowledge and extensive experience to significantly ease my mind. Whenever I encountered the medical staff, they greeted me with warm smiles, comforting expressions, and kind words, providing me with immense comfort and strength.
Leonisa wrote in her memo
The process is not easy, as l travel to China by myself, while l see other patients with their families. But with the help of the kind-hearted doctors, nurses, and the rest of the hospital staff. my treatments were smoothly administered. And by God's grace, completed successfully.
A Ode to Life: Starting a New Chapter After Overcoming Cancer
After completing my treatment and returning to the Philippines, I re-entered the workforce and successfully began a new chapter in my life after defeating cancer. Now, I can fully enjoy life while basking in the sun and sand. All I need to do is follow medical advice, adjust my diet, and maintain a cheerful mood.
I am deeply grateful to the hospital for inviting me back to Guangzhou, allowing me to return to the land that once gave me hope and to meet many fellow cancer warriors from around the world. We shared our stories and experiences, each one profoundly touching my heart. This connection transcended language and cultural barriers, making me acutely aware that, despite coming from various places, we are not alone in the fight against cancer. The hospital celebrated each of our hard-won victories in this battle by organizing a special outing, inviting us to participate together. We explored the beautiful sights of Guangzhou, savored authentic Chinese cuisine, and experienced the unique charm of Chinese culture. These precious moments not only made me feel cared for by the hospital but also strengthened my resolve and confidence in my fight against cancer.
