"Before I was diagnosed with cervical cancer, I lived a fulfilling and happy life. However, upon learning of my diagnosis, I instantly fell into despair and lost hope. Fortunately, the negative emotions of self-pity did not consume me for long. With the support of my loved ones, the effectiveness of minimally invasive treatment, and the comfort of a caring environment and excellent medical services, I found the strength to be brave and confident in my ability to overcome cancer. Ultimately, I do triumphed over the cancer!

I’m Edoharidwi Doko; let’s cheer together!

After chemoradiotherapy for stage IIIB cervical cancer, cancer cells metastasized to the abdominal cavity

I began experiencing abnormal vaginal bleeding in 2022, which made me feel uneasy. My husband accompanied me to the local hospital for an examination, and the test results confirmed my worst fears: stage IIIB cervical cancer. In that moment, the world felt dark and overwhelming. With the support of my family, I underwent more than 30 grueling sessions of radiotherapy and chemotherapy at the local hospital. Later, the doctor announced that the tumor had disappeared. My family and I were overjoyed. Just as I was beginning to feel grateful for the chance to return to a stable life, I received devastating news in December 2023: the tumor had recurred and metastasized to the abdominal cavity. All the progress I had made seemed to vanish, and my persistence and hard work felt futile. The doctor suggested chemoradiotherapy again, and with the painful treatment a year earlier still fresh in my mind, I couldn't muster up the courage to undergo chemoradiotherapy any longer, so I refused!

New minimally invasive anti-cancer technologies: A Ray of Light in the Darkness

I try to stay optimistic, seeking light in the darkness. I’ve been researching alternative cancer treatments online and, thankfully, found inspiring survivor stories on YouTube. Learning that one survived through 18 advanced minimally invasive techniques led me to contact the Surabaya International Service Center at St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou. The staff were professional and patient, arranging a remote consultation with the MDT. The treatment plan provided was like a beacon of hope. Soon, the Surabaya International Service Center assisted us with the necessary procedures for traveling abroad.

Multidisciplinary team consultation for individualized treatment plans

On January 16, 2024, my family and I came to the hospital with hope. The multidisciplinary consultation team developed an individualized diagnosis and treatment plan for me based on my condition: interventional therapy, natural therapy, and targeted therapy with Chinese and Western medicine. Interventional therapy is amazing. It does not require surgery. It can accurately kill tumors with "one needle". It is minimally invasive, safe, and efficient. While achieving better therapeutic effects, it can reduce or even avoid side effects as much as possible. Natural therapy and targeted therapy with Chinese and Western medicine, my body's immune system can be better improved, tumor recurrence can be controlled and preempted, and the quality of life can be maintained.

What surprised and delighted me even more was that during the integrated minimally invasive treatment, my body remained in good condition, allowing me to work and live normally. After two cycles of treatment, the MDT explained the test results to us: the abdominal tumor had shrunk significantly, which made my family feel very satisfied and motivated to continue the treatment! Before the treatment, my tumor marker was 1352.7 ng/ml. After two cycles of treatment, the tumor marker dropped rapidly in just one month and has returned to normal levels. Today, the abdominal tumor has disappeared, and symptoms such as abnormal vaginal bleeding have resolved.
